Worldly versus spiritual focus...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Lord, I appreciate you on a daily basis for bringing to my attention the DRAMATIC differences between worldly and spiritual actions. Both those we are directly involved with, and those we witness from others, for they magnify the battle of good (spiritual) versus evil (worldly). But I know one thing is for certain, those focusing on only the worldly aspects suffer immensely when things go wrong, whereas the spiritually minded lean on Jesus Christ, knowing that this life is temporary in nature. This was confirmed by the writer of Hebrews when it was written; "For this world is not our home; we are looking forward to our everlasting home in heaven." (Hebrews 13:14) It's a matter of focus, a matter of priority when we suffer from the grief this world brings to our daily walk; "For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death..." (2 Corinthians 7:10) May we all live our lives without regret, as we're led by the Spirit to focus on all things spiritual, a way of life which always leads to repentance, which always leads to life, a life forgiven… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
