What are we waiting on...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... A small point to make, but one that needs to be made nevertheless. Paul and Barnabus were preaching in Antioch, one of the largest cities in the Roman Empire in the first century, a city with both many Jews and many Gentiles; of course they were preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, and then this statement was made, "The next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord." (Acts 13:44) The message of the gospel is absolutely worth hearing. May we who have ears let us hear; almost the WHOLE CITY gathered to hear; so what are we waiting for? Are the saving words of Jesus Christ somehow not worthy of hearing these days, did something change? No, nothing has discounted the saving grace of Jesus in 2,000 years, nor will time EVER change the saving power of His blood… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
