Failure is not an option…

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... To say that discipline is lacking in our present-day society is to state the obvious. But what is discipline? Perhaps Coach Curt Cignetti put it best when he stated, "I've never seen a successful person in life that didn't have great discipline; and all discipline is, is doing what you're supposed to do, when you're supposed to do it, exactly the way it's supposed to be done." No, it's not easy! So, to pull it off consistently, we need to introduce accountability into the discipline formula. For when we tell others what we're going to do, and when we're going to do it, and how we plan on pulling it off, then we begin to understand just how important it is to keep our word to those to whom we've made such commitments. Will we fail? Absolutely, in the short term, but it's how we respond that matters the most; for when we give up, this is the very moment that we have chosen to accept failure, and that's unacceptable to those committed to the cause of Jesus Christ. He called us, He called ME to be better; for, "You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy." (1 Peter 2:9-10) For those so honored, we have only one path; the path of bringing honor and glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and for this cause, failure is NOT an option… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
