Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... I've never been on-board with those who discount the importance of baptism in the salvation formula. Some would say, oh but you're saying that it's a work and that one can't get to heaven without the "work" of baptism. A work? No way, it's simply being obedient to the gospel of Jesus Christ, it's simply following in the footsteps of not only Jesus, but the early disciples who walked with Jesus. Paul wrote to the Roman Christians saying, "Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life." (‭‭Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭3‬-‭4‬) We have to ask ourselves; what DON'T we understand about he words of Peter when he wrote concerning the power baptism; "This water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ" (1 Peter 3:21)… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
