Obeying the Gospel of Jesus Christ...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... I loved hearing Tim Tebow stating recently that, "The greatest form of tragedy is being successful at everything that doesn't matter. But we can take that success and use it for things that do matter." Before we are deceived by this world, we need to understand that being a follower of Jesus Christ was never meant to bring health, wealth, and happiness to this life, but it does bring an inner joy that can only be expressed as "something wonderful," something meant to last for an eternity of tomorrows. How many people spend their entire lives just trying to "get ahead" to build a "nest egg" to achieve "The American Dream" only to see their life cut short or worse yet, never finding the inner joy that can ONLY be discovered by those who've chosen to obey the gospel of Jesus Christ by being baptized into His death, His burial, and His resurrection, and in doing so, experiencing your grace, your forgiveness, your everlasting love; "Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you— unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures." (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
