Fleeting memories...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... It hurts to admit that most of life's experiences are fleeting memories. It hurts for at the end of the day we know those memories have served to define who we are this very day. But that's just the way life is, in the present we are who we are, so the only thing we can influence is the future. When we serve others as Christ served us by forgetting the past and forging ahead into the future with a mindset of servanthood, THIS is the best we can hope for, and rightfully so, for it serves as an excellent foundation to honor our faith by walking in the footsteps of Jesus. "Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3:13-14)… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
