Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... There are literally thousands of ways we like to address words and concepts in the Bible. Some love facts and figures, others love the human interactions portrayed, but at the end of the day we have to focus on the meaning behind the actions, especially when it comes to the words and deeds of Jesus Christ. Why did He say what He said and why did He do what He did? These are the areas of life we need to focus on, and then to do our best to emulate His words and deeds in our own lives. Yes, we have things to do in this life, but if we let them control us, they will pull us away from the very thing that is MOST crucial to living this life; putting Jesus Christ FIRST in all things we say and do. Concerning our priorities, concerning the memorization facts and figures versus having the heart of Christ, Jesus was perfectly clear in clarifying when He stated, "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." (Matthew 6:33) When we get it right by putting Jesus first, we are blessed beyond measure, it's that simple and that beautiful… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
