It's a matter of priorities...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Could there be a higher caller than a calling in Christ? Certainly not to those who know the true meaning and value of walking in the footsteps of Jesus. We can't just be lip-service Christians. Oh, we can try to fake out others, and we can for a season, but lie upon lie has a way of catching up to us, and then we're forced to admit our true nature in our times of weakness. We have no reason to not step up and do what needs to be done. For if we suffer for doing right, then we KNOW we made the right decision as Peter encouraged us to do when he wrote, "Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect" (1 Peter 3:13-15) I love how he ended this section; "yet to it with gentleness and respect." Living life in a loving and kind and "compassionate for Christ" way always attracts and encourages others to follow-suit; there is no higher calling than a calling in Christ, so let's get it done… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
