Average, good, or great...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... If sport teaches us but one lesson, it's that there's a huge difference between average, good, and great. It's not that average and good are inherently that bad, but GREAT is great! Jesus was like this, He was different, He was set apart to do great things in great ways! Should we accept mediocracy? By no means! For to accept a blase existence is to say that your creation is just OK, but average for those seeking excellence in Christ Jesus is NEVER ok! For to accept mediocracy is slapping your creation in the face, telling you, the Creator, that we are not willing to excel even though we are more than able to do what Jesus has enabled us to do. "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." (Ephesians 2:10) No good work in Christ is EVER only average or even good, but rather, they are absolutely GREAT to the nth degree… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
