If we don't, we won't...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... There's no time like the present time to seize the present moment; for if we don't, chances are, we won't. I often wonder just how many times procrastination has cost me in this life, times when I "should have" done but "did not" do! At work, at home, at church, when out and about, ignoring the needs of others as I've focused strictly on my own wants and desires. Jesus, in setting the bar as high as it needed to be set, told us what our mindset needs to be when He stated, “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if anyone would sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you." (Matthew 5:38-42) It's a way of life that's polar opposite to this world's teachings on taking care of self over all else, but then again, it's a magnification of your ways dominating the ways of Satan; all for the good of the many over the wants and desires for self… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
