Created in the image of God...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Personal biases are simply part of the fabric of the human experience, we have close friends for a very good reason, but when those biases transform into prejudices, we've gone too far! It's one thing to prefer one relationship over another, but quite another thing to demand that others fit into whom we expect them to be, or worse yet, whom we expect they never can be. We are all created in the image of God; you, O Lord, the creator of all things. Yet we seem to love to role-play as God, as if WE control the universe, not you. What a monumental mistake that is! "My brothers, show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory. For if a man wearing a gold ring and fine clothing comes into your assembly, and a poor man in shabby clothing also comes in, and if you pay attention to the one who wears the fine clothing and say, “You sit here in a good place,” while you say to the poor man, “You stand over there,” or, “Sit down at my feet,” have you not then made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts? Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him?"
