A beautiful thing...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Lord, it's a beautiful thing that you don't require us to be bookworms with brilliant minds to understand the simplistic message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. But you do expect us to eagerly pursue doing the right thing at just the right time in this life. "Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome." (1 John 5:1-3) No, the concept of faithfully comprehending your commandments is never burdensome or difficult, but it's when we pursue ways that WE view as superior, THIS is not pursing excellence. Lord, lead us to the truth as discovered only in your words of truth, the Bibe, and in doing so, may we focus on Jesus and your commandments leading us to an obedient life, a life dedicated to following in the footsteps of Jesus … Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
