Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... The expression, "whatever" as blurted out with a defeatist attitude has a very clear meaning in the English language, and I know I've caught myself using it way too often. For how many times have I felt the desire to give up, knowing there's nothing I can do about the current situation so why not just unplug and move on to a situation I can influence and possibly control? Based upon my life experiences in Christ, I'm certain that you did not create me to have such a blasé, WHATEVER attitude! In Christ, we have to know that we can do ALL things, the sky is the limit, so why should or would I ever sell that short when it comes to making a positive difference in the lives of others? The easy answer; I just need to do the good works that you have prepared for me to do; without complaining, without grumbling, and certainly without debating whether I should or should not be doing them in the first place. We have a calling in Christ, to manage our emotions, to be positive for we have much to be thankful for, not the least of which is knowing that "forever promises" await those who remain faithful to the very end; "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." (Colossians 3:23-24)… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
