To live is Christ...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Nobody in their right mind wants to die, for you have given us the spirit of life, but as I grow older, it's easier and easier to come to Paul's conclusion on the matter; "It is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." (Philippians 1:20-21) It's a perplexing concept to the world, a world that has no clue on what death really means to the Christian. But, I contend from the scriptures, that as long as we're still breathing YOUR air, we have meaning and purpose in our lives, we have a reason to be alive this very day! Glorifying Jesus is our challenge, all the while getting over ourselves and our tendency to focus on self… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
