Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Watching the news these days can drive us insane if we let the hyperbole of the moment seep into our souls. For anyone who puts any thoughtful thought into the fact that news people are in the business to SELL news versus reporting on otherwise "boring" content, we'll soon realize the folly into taking "one-liners that sell" into serious account as our only source of the happenings at hand. Sure these blurbs are part of the story, but rarely do they define the meaning behind the actions. What did the Pharisees report about Jesus? "The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look at him! A glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ Yet wisdom is justified by her deeds." (Matthew 11:19) Slamming the very Son of God who was actively performing miracles, signs and wonders in clear sight of anyone willing to truthfully report on what they saw; indeed, wisdom is justified by her deeds… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
