Winners never quit...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... I can't stand quitters, never did / never will. Why? It really boils down to what legendary NFL coach Vince Lombardi used to often state with conviction, "Winners never quit, and quitters never win." But yet we find ourselves wanting to give up more often than following through with what we know it's going to take to cross the finish line. Unfortunately, there's also a saying we all know all too well, self included; when it comes to quitters, "It takes one to know one." I have failed so many more times than I'd ever like to admit... "Then Peter began to invoke a curse on himself and to swear, 'I do not know the man.' And immediately the rooster crowed. And Peter remembered the saying of Jesus, 'Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.' And he went out and wept bitterly." (Matthew‬ ‭26‬:‭74‬-‭75‬) Peter quit on Jesus big time, but this only solidified his resolve when he came back stronger than ever to lead the early church, and ultimately to give his life for the cause of his Savior / my Savior / our Savior. Indeed, WINNERS NEVER QUITE… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
