It's a thin line...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... It's a thin line between love and hate, for those closest to us are the easiest for us to abuse, easiest for us to ignore, easiest for us to manipulate. We know when we do it, and we especially know when it's being done to us; why does it have to be like this? Why can't we rise above the needs of self and look into the souls of others? Could it be we are greedily selfish? Yes, this is truth! We are, at the end of the day, creatures bent on serving the three most important people in our lives; me, myself, and I. But this isn't your plan for us, O Lord, not even close. "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies⁠—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen." (1 Peter 4:10-11) May we never again cross that line into the hateful attitudes that are all too prevalent in our current society, and may we stay focused on Christ, and especially the love that Jesus ushered into this sinful world… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
