Willingness to change...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... In seems there's no end to which people will go to solidify their current belief system irrespectively of the evidence contrary to that position. In fact, when presented with evidence contrary to our beliefs, not desiring to be proven wrong, it only serves to solidify our resolve to fight for what we "believe" to be right. But here's the deal, in the spiritual realm, truth is truth! Lord, you didn't create us to be an obstinate people, no, far from it, but Satan has lured us into a sense of "I am right, and you are wrong" mentality. But rather than talking about truth, a better way would be to let our actions speak louder than words, "Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." (1 John 3:18) May we resist the need to be right, and focus on a willingness to change, seeking your truth, your absolute truth in all things… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
