True friends are far and few between...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Teaching our kids how to make and keep friends might be one of our most important roles as a parent. For to have even but one friend who they know has their back and will stand up for them when things get tough is always a blessing among blessings in this life where true friends are few and far between. I vividly remember my mom as my first best friend, but then again, I know I was blessed beyond measure for it didn't take me long at school to realize that my situation was far from normal, in fact, it was rare to have a mother who cared as deeply as my mother cared for my soul. A mother's "Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 'Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.'" (Proverbs 31:25-30) May we all be so richly blessed as we march toward heaven's door… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
