Treasures in heaven...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Lord, you know the best path for our children much more than we could ever imagine. We want the best for them without question, but the "best" can simply be summarized as that which you have in store for them in the years to come. As parents, we are influencers with a huge responsibility to lead our children to the truth as discovered in Jesus Christ; truth in your words / truth in His words. It's really that simple, but don't we make it so much harder than it was intended to be? We get lost in our misguided priorities, putting more emphasis on earthly things rather than treasures to be stored in heaven. Lead us Father to the truth, your truth, the ONLY truth; Jesus said, "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (Matthew 6:19-21)… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
