The greatest deception...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... I don't know if anybody else has noticed, but I know it doesn't take long to grow old in this life. We know it when we hear ourselves saying things like, "that seems like only yesterday not 25 years ago!" Yes, mankind's days are indeed numbered. Here today, gone tomorrow, but yet here we are, living life as if we're going to live forever. This could easily be described as the "greatest deception." What could be a better trap laid by Satan than duping us into thinking that death is for anyone but our ourselves? We know the truth of that matter, yet the masses don't seem to care about getting their lives right with, O Lord; thinking there's always another day, another day, another day. James chapter 4 verse 14 nailed it when he wrote; "Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes." A mist, a vapor, a point in time is our life, here one day, gone the next. May we acknowledge that today or tomorrow may be our last, and in recognizing, prioritizing Jesus Christ and His ability to save our souls forevermore… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
