The game of life...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... To play the game of life with people we love and truly respect is a wonderful blessing for the few short years we have to enjoy such moments. But at the end of the day, followers of Jesus Christ are playing the game of life with focus and reason and purpose. Why so focused and purposeful? In the Spirit, James explained when he wrote; "Come now, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit'⁠— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes." (James 4:13-14) The aging process teaches everyone the absolute truth found in this scripture; we never like to dwell upon it, but the truth is the truth, our days are numbered, and the longer we live, the more those numbers dwindle. I pray you'll guide me to treasure each and every new day, to focus on living life to its fullest by living a life dedicated to Jesus and His beautifully loving ways… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
