Mercy triumphs over judgement...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... To be shown mercy is to be favorably treated even when we don't deserve such favor. Is it difficult to be merciful to those not deserving mercy? Absolutely! It might be one of the more difficult tasks we take on in this life, for we are a judgmental people. The words of James are faithful and true when he wrote, "So speak and so act as those who are to be judged under the law of liberty. For judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment." (James 2:12-13) If there's one thing that's for certain here it's that no one wants to be THAT person, the one being judged without mercy simply because they chose not to show mercy in their lifetime… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
