Against the wind...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Which way does an airplane takeoff and land? That's easy, against the wind! Why do we think our lives should be any different? It's frustrating when the world teaches us to seek the path of least resistance, but truth be known, the path of least resistance only leads to a life satisfied with complacency, and to be quite honest, it eventually leads to dangerous takeoffs and landings due to the wind/worldly leading us to where we don't need to go. Jesus spoke to the difficulty here when He said, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me." (Luke 9:23) Want to follow Jesus? Deny yourself and then WORK harder than you ever thought you were called to do; knowing that against the wind, in Christ, we have a MUCH higher calling… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
