The free gift of God...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... On the day of judgment what's it going to be like for those who have betrayed Jesus, for those who've chosen to spit in his face, and then to die in their sins? It's not good, this much we know! I know, I know, I'm guilty on all counts even if but in a small sampling of my life. But as Paul wrote to the Romans, even one sin matters; "For the wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23) and no one is perfect, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) Even though we've all been guilty of abandoning Jesus, of rejecting His teachings, we have a path back since He was willing to turn the other cheek to the religious murderers of His day, and allow His blood to be sacrificed for such sinners as all of us; bringing to life the other half of Romans 6:23 "...but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Judgement Day just got a whole lot better… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
