Stay awake...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... It's a fact, no one knows the day or the hour when Jesus is coming back, when this world, as we know it, will cease to exist. I find it fascinating that even Jesus didn't know, but only you, Lord. Yet here we are living life as if we're going to live forever. How foolish could we possibly be? Jesus said, "Concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come...And what I say to you I say to all: Stay awake." (‭‭Mark‬ ‭13‬:‭32‬-‭33‬, ‭37‬)‬ We can't say that we haven't been forewarned, for Jesus' words of life were clear and true and just. For at the end of the day, we don't deserve anything, but at the end of the day, through Jesus Christ, we have been promised eternal life if we are but obedient to your teachings, and in doing so, choosing to be baptized into the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus our Lord; forever linking our sinful selves with the life giving / forgiving sacrificial blood of the perfect lamb… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
