Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Is it okay to be tired, to simply need a break from this rat race we call life? I hope so, for there are times when we all just desire to unplugged for a time, to recharge our batteries, to know we can rest now so we can be best prepared to get-after-it when we're called into action. Even Jesus needed to rest; "But now even more the report about Him went abroad, and great crowds gathered to hear Him and to be healed of their infirmities. But He would withdraw to desolate places and pray." (Luke 5:15-16) More than anyone, I'm sure Jesus knew He needed to stay in close contact with you, O Lord, to speak with you, to focus on your will in His life, just as we all need to do on a daily basis. May we learn from Jesus, so slow down and focus on what matters the most; getting our lives right with you, focused on your will overlayed upon our actions as we do our best to walk in the footsteps of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
