Simply whom you created me to be...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Everybody is constantly measuring everybody; the right body, the right attitude, the right words, the right clothes, the right amount of money, the right car, the right home. It's wearisome trying to "get it right," trying to keep up, trying to measure up! If we let it get to us, it'll surely drive us insane, overwhelming us in negative ways never before imagined. Why does it matter? Your word teaches us why; "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world— the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life —is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever." (1 John 2:15-17) Lord, let me be simply whom you created me to be in Christ Jesus, nothing more, nothing less; it's exponentially more beautiful than anything this world will ever know or imagine… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
