Serving in the kingdom...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... It shouldn't be amazing to us when we come to the realization that you, our Lord, choose the humble to serve in your kingdom, but we are TRULY amazed when you choose the blatant sinners, the ne’er-do-wells of this life, those who are always on-the-edge of right and wrong, to become great leaders. James speaking to the power of humility wrote; "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you." (James 4:10) This we understand, but blatant sinners? Paul wrote, "I thank him who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, appointing me to his service, though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent opponent. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life." (1 Timothy 1:12-16) It's always been all about Jesus, and it always will be ALL about Jesus; serving Him every moment of every day… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
