Seek peace...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Do we really know how blessed we are as followers of Jesus Christ? In the quiet morning hours I think we do, but then the day-to-day grind steals our joy and manipulates our peace, and it becomes just too easy to forget, too easy to take these times for granted. My challenge is to find peace in the midst of this chaotic world, to allow Jesus to calm the waters of my storm-drenched soul. Your words are true and holy, set aside for a very specific purpose, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress." (Psalms 46:10-11) Comforting words to live by, for challenges are we to bring peace to a world so desperately in need… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
