Removing the log from our eye...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Judging another is reciprocal in nature, so it behooves us to judge with righteous motives, else our harsh judgmental ways will come back to haunt us. For sure, none of us are righteous in and of ourselves, but we love to hide behind our own self-proclaimed righteousness as if we really were righteous at the end of the day. So, in our self-righteous state we're just pompous enough to think we're better than those sinners "over there!" It's time for the pompous to wake up and hear Jesus' words of truth; "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment, you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?" (Matthew 7:1-3) We just to calm down, look in the mirror, and KNOW we are not as good as we think we are, but only with Christ on our side can we possibly overcome… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
