Reconciliation, what a thing of beauty...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Would the church (all true believers) still be in existence some 2,000 years if Jesus had not sacrificed His life for His bride, the church? I think not, for the reality of this hit home when Paul wrote, "If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:14). But THIS happened when Christ Jesus did what He knew needed to be done at the cross, "For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation." (Romans 5:6-11) Ironic, to say the least, the very ones who were the reason for Jesus dying on the cross (me and you), are the very ones saved by the cross… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
