Progressions of faith leading to love...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... I love the progressions of faith that are outlined in the scriptures, your words of truth, O Lord, that resonate through the centuries. "Make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins." (2 Peter 1:5-9) It's a calling that's intimidating when we break it down, but at the same time we need to realize that when we put our faith and trust in Jesus, He leads us every step of our journey to the ultimate love, a love that ALWAYS puts others over self; knowing we love because He first loved us… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
