Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Yes, seeking perfection is a dangerous game and one that has to be managed with great care. For we touch it at times and then naturally want it all the more, but mainly, we fail time and time again. So the management part comes down to dealing effectively with our failures for if we do not effective process failure, then those failures will destroy us to the very core of our being. The oft quoted Serenity Prayer says, "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference." To know these finer points of human interaction is to delve deeply into the challenge at hand; lest we "think" we can change everything, lest we "think" there's nothing we can't overcome in and of ourselves, and lest we "think" we're so wise every moment of every day. Knowing when to push and when to backoff is a God-given talent that we refine with prayerful consideration as we're presented with the many obstacles we face on any and every given day. We are challenge by Jesus to be better versions of ourselves when He said, "You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect." (Matthew 5:48) Does this mean we can be perfect in and of ourselves? NO WAY! How then? By turning EVERYTHING over to him in prayer, and then believing that the blood of Jesus, which it does, makes us perfect in your sight, this is your plan for us, this is out ticket to eternal life… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
