One cornerstone, one foundation...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... What has become of our foundation of truth in this country? I fear that many would take exception to the ideal of one foundation, one truth, all of which speaks to the emerging humanistic approach to life; that is, anything goes. Lord, you love us too much to leave us to our own imaginings along the lines of interacting one with another. Does anything go? Absolutely not! For your scriptures are clear on the matter at hand. "As you come to him (Jesus), a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For it stands in Scripture: 'Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.' So the honor is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe, 'The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone'" (1 Peter 2:4-7) In my life, my family has chosen one foundation, built on nothing less than the truth as discovered in your holy scriptures; all of which leads us to Jesus Christ as the cornerstone for everything we say and do, our foundation. It's a rock-solid foundation built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and his righteousness… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
