No higher calling...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... In a world of split allegiances with war and conflict around every corner, it's difficult to know how to engage the enemy, for oftentimes the enemy is cleverly disguised as our ally, and sometimes even our fellow countrymen. I know we all have a different take on how things should go down, but those in Christ we all need to rise above the bickering and embrace the sharing of our common objective. For we all, like Paul, should urge one another to walk in a manner worthy of our calling in Christ; "I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace...speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love." (Ephesians 4:1-3,15-16) Could there be a higher calling than building the body up in love? I think not… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
