No excuses...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... It's so easy for us to make excuses to get out of doing what we know needs to be done; I'm too tired, I'm too busy, and the worst, I'm not sure there's enough in it for me to bother doing. Didn't Jesus have these "valid" excuses on the tip of His tongue? I'm sure He was tempted numerous times, but there's one very big difference here, Jesus did NOT give in to making excuses for anything. The struggle in the Garden of Gethsemane was perhaps the biggest struggle of all time, yet He sucked it up and did what needed to be done. In Luke 22:42 Jesus said, "Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours, be done." Jesus didn't want to suffer and die on the cross, in fact, He could have called 12 legions of angels (72,000) to come to His defense. But that wasn't the point, the point was that He needed to die so that I might live; the purest definition of LOVE one could ever imagine… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
