Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... We all want to change the world do we not? Easy answer; of course we do, but then the work begins. We study to gain knowledge, we live and work and struggle to gain experience; we combine the two in our better days to apply the wisdom we have meticulously developed over the years only to be shot down before we've had a chance to present our wonderfully conceived ideas and plans for the good of the cause at hand. This is the struggle of mankind, to find peace when it's not necessarily how we would have proposed to proceed; to celebrate the plans of others and magnify their achievements in the face of our own perceived failures. Your word encourages us to keep on keeping on; "For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing." (1 Thessalonians 5:9-11) Jesus was like this; encouraging not discouraging, building up not tearing down; so shall we be like Him, and in doing so, discovering His peace which surpasses all understanding for the betterment of mankind; not our way, but HIS way… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
