It's never all about us...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... C.S. Lewis once wrote, "Humility is not thinking less of yourself. It is thinking about yourself less." Perhaps one of the hardest parts of trying to be more Christlike is coming to the realization that it's not all about me. James wrote, "Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation, and the rich in his humiliation, because like a flower of the grass he will pass away. For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beauty perishes. So also will the rich man fade away in the midst of his pursuits." (James‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬-‭11‬) It's easy to get our priorities out of order with the world constantly telling us to go get more and more and more; to acquire what we so rightly deserve. But the sooner we learn the truth of this matter the better; it's not about our health, wealth, and happiness, but it is ALL about getting our priorities in proper spiritual order, and more so with each and every new day… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
