Ignoring the obvious warning signs...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... When a positive attitude causes us to ignore the obvious warning signs then we know we've taken such an attitude far too far. This world, and its worldly disciples teach that sin is nothing more than a negative self image, but the truth in the scriptures beg to differ. When we find ourselves in the position of not having our sins forgiven we have separated ourselves from the great healer, the one who can present us sin free on the day of judgment. So it's MUCH MORE than simply a negative image, it's much more than how we feel about ourselves, much more because you've given us warning signs of what it means when we don't get our lives right with you. THE warning; "You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you suppose it is to no purpose that the Scripture says, 'He yearns jealously over the spirit that he has made to dwell in us?' But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, 'God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.' Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded."
