Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... There are times in our lives when we question if you're with us, but that's not the question we should be asking. A better question would be, are we with you? In life, relationships worth keeping are in a constant state of flux; give and take, up and down, worth the effort, but effort we must expend to discover worth. It's much different in the spiritual realm. Why? Because you have promised your children (those obedient to your will) that you will NEVER leave them. The writer of Hebrews wrote; "Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.'" (Hebrews 13:5), and Moses proclaimed to God's people concerning the monumental challenges that confronted them, "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you." (Deuteronomy 31:6) You will never leave us, you will never forsake us; yet so many have abandon the possibilities of a relationship with Jesus Christ, and in doing so, have freely chosen to leave you, O Lord. What a mistake this is; risking where they will spend eternity over a few brief years of doing whatever it is they want and desire to do without regard to the sinful nature of such attitudes and behaviors. Forgive us Lord, for we know not what we do... Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
