Humble yourselves before the Lord...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Magnificently impactful it is when we have meaningful interaction with a truly humble person. It provides us renewed faith that there is hope moving forward in this life. For all too often we're forced to deal with the proud, the arrogant, the self-seekers in our daily walk; bringing us down to the lowest common denominator of interaction, that is taking what they can take at any cost. It doesn't have to be this way, but the only way we can achieve a humble nature is to witness the power of humility in action. James knew most likely because he grew up with Savior of the world in his household; so much so he knew that later in life, in the spirit, he wrote, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you." (James 4:7-10) Beautiful words, and an absolutely beautiful way to lead our lives; in humility we are challenged to love as Jesus loved and loves us… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
