Hateful attitudes...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... The words are very similar in structure; cynical and critical, but they're a million miles apart in application. We've all heard the term, constructive criticism, and truthfully, we should aspire such criticism on a daily basis even though that truth may hurt. But constructive criticism is difficult for know-it-all's, those who quickly gravitate to cynical thought processes, which do nothing but breakdown and tear down others as they effectively tear apart our society. Honestly, I'm sick and tired of cynical attitudes, but then again, Lord, I know you have to deal with such hateful attitudes on a daily basis. Those cynical of the very truths as testified to by your creation. Things that cannot be denied yet there are those who cynically deny the truth that is right in front of their very nose. We can't say that we weren't warned, "He will render to each one according to his works: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury." (Romans 2:6-8)… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
