Good and acceptable and perfect...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Am I so liking the world that the worldly literally think I'm on their side? I pray not, but then I look in the mirror and see a man who may be more worldly than he would ever like to admit. Ways it comes to light are the times I'm passive-aggressive, those times I'm pretending to hide my anger and resentment, but my actions prove otherwise. Saying I'm fine, when I'm not fine; giving someone the silent treatment to punish them; using sarcasm instead of honestly saying I'm hurt or angry. These are worldly actions in a world that needs to see Jesus shining through my every word and deed. Followers of Jesus Christ are called to a higher level, a level that forces us to look beyond ourselves and into the lives of those we dearly love; "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." (Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬) If I'm a true Christian, I WILL BE different from the world, in fact, Jesus said I'll be persecuted for my choice; this is your will Lord, and for this I will be forever thankful you've placed this responsibility upon me… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
