Giving is good...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... It's very easy to love good food and good drink, and as such it makes us thankful and grateful that we have such blessings in our lives. It's a simple thing but the longer I live the more I realize it's the little things, the simple things that matter the most. These are the things we can influence, and as such, they become common blessings that are anything but common. Yes, it's easy for us to take advantage of our amazing "food is always on the table" situation, but may we never do so for we know that not all are as blessed. One day Jesus reminded us about the power associated with giving to others as we have been blessed; "Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you." (Luke 6:38) When we are a blessing to others we reap blessings from above; it's that simple for those in Christ… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
