From death to life...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... It's interesting to me how baptism (immersion) in water as THE event for accepting us into your family, as the beginning point for the forgiveness of our sins through His blood, has been discounted and dramatically minimized by the religious world in the 21st-century. Somehow / someway, since the 1st-century when it was just the way it was, it has been reduced from a saved-by-grace event to a symbolically optional public testimony of our faith, an event not even connected with our salvation in Christ. The truth from the scriptures is clear; “Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life." (Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭3‬-‭4‬) No, it's not a "work" to earn our way to heaven, but simply an obedient act for believers to join with Jesus in an everlasting connection to His sacrifice for our sins! It isn't difficult to understand UNLESS we choose to make it so… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
