Falling into the hands of the living God...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... Given the opportunity to be the one in charge of doling out justice for those deserving harsh judgments, I fear I would be all too willing to take on that role. But the reason I desire such a role is so I can be THE judge, THE jury, and THE executioner all-in-one which is the WRONG thing for me to aspire to be; "For we know him who said, 'Vengeance is mine; I will repay.' And again, 'The Lord will judge his people.' It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." (Hebrews 10:30-31) I am not qualified, nor would I ever be qualified, so I just need to understand my place in the kingdom, and it is NOT to judge! Jesus said, "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you." (Matthew 7:1-2) And therein lies the problem, if I judge harshly, so shall I be so judged, and nobody should ever want or desire such an outcome… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
