Every Second Counts...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... It's an idyllic proposition to be sure, but in my deeper moments of spiritual connection I'd like to believe it's a statement of absolute truth in this life; Every Second Counts! Sure some seconds / moments seem bigger than others: the moment I took my first breath, the moment I was baptized, the moment I said "I do", the moment our children and grandchildren were born, and eventually, the moment I will take my last breath of air on this planet. But what about the very next moment in time? Life is a gift, NEVER to be taken for granted; even the seconds count, every one of them; "So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." (1 Corinthians 10:31) Therein lies the key to knowing that wasting time should never be our "go to" in this life; we are to do ALL things for the glory of your kingdom, O Lord. Life is a gift, just as Jesus encouraged us to understand, every moment of every day… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
