Every moment of every day...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... I feel for people who cannot seem to do anything but spew negative political opinions every moment of every day if things aren't going the exact way they think they should be going. That's not to say I don't appreciate the passion, far from it, but I contend that we need to rise above the fray, above the things we cannot control, and to switch our focus to things above for our guidance rather than to the thinking of mankind. Otherwise we're destined to drive people away from pursuing the spiritual side of life all because we're so convinced they need to hear our opinion on EVERY topic under the sun except the one topic that matters the most. As Paul so aptly stated to the church at Corinth, "For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified." (1 Corinthians 2:2) A passion for Christ, YES a passion for Christ every moment of every day… Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
