Enter by the narrow gate...

Father, your creation declares your greatness and lovingkindness, encouraging statements of pure truth in our daily walk... What do people often say when a loved one dies? They say, "they lived the way they wanted to live and died the way they wanted to die." For those who've been baptized into Christ Jesus, and for all who have lived a life as a forgiven child of God, yes, life and death are as they should be. But obviously, not everyone chooses to trust and obey, not everyone chooses to purposely align their lives with Jesus, so consequently many choose the path of destruction. Jesus said, "Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few." (Matthew 7:13-14) We all want it to be the other way around, but then again, we are not the judge; your paths are straight and true, O Lord, and your ways are far above our ways... Thank you, Jesus, for showing us that you are the way, the truth, and the life; THE answer for those committed to seeking the truth in all things!
